About Us
Roundhouse South is Florida's family-run model train shop, serving collectors and hobbyists from our Port Orange showroom since 1989. We're an authorized Lionel Value Added Dealer, MTH Mega Store and National Authorized Service Center, and full-line dealer for Atlas, Bachmann, and Woodland Scenics. Whether you're building your first layout or hunting a rare collectible, Tony and the team are here to help — in person at the shop or online, shipped anywhere in the country.
Our Story
Roundhouse South was founded in August 1989 by Tony Rotunda, a lifelong train enthusiast who turned his passion into a calling. What started as a small specialty shop has grown into one of the most trusted destinations for O-gauge model trains in the country — known not just for selection, but for genuine expertise and service that's harder and harder to find.
We've spent more than three decades building relationships with the world's top train manufacturers — Lionel, MTH, Atlas, Bachmann, Walthers, and Woodland Scenics. We carry their full lines of engines, rolling stock, transformers, track, accessories, and limited-edition production runs. If you're looking for it, we probably have it. If we don't, we'll get it.
What Makes Us Different
- MTH Mega Store — One of MTH's highest-tier dealers nationwide, with priority access to new releases and limited editions.
- MTH National Authorized Service Center — We repair Z4000 transformers, all Proto 1, Proto 2, and Proto 3 engines, and handle all warranty work for MTH products.
- Lionel Value Added Dealer — Authorized service for older Lionel O-gauge products too.
- 36+ years in business — Family-owned since August 1989. We're still here because we still care.
